Sydney Royal Easter Show Schools' Program

The RAS runs a comprehensive schools’ program each year at the Sydney Royal Easter Show, which aims to inform and educate children on the wide range of Australian agricultural pursuits.

For many years school students from the city and country have been visiting the Show to soak up the sights, sounds and smells of rural Australia. From District Exhibits and livestock judging, to hands-on demonstrations and booked in sessions about Australian agriculture, farm life and history, there’s a learning experience around every corner.

School Days 2008

In 2008, the program will run for the eight school days of the Show, which are 20, 25 – 28 & 31 March and 1 & 2 April 2008. The Show dates are 20 March to 2 April.

Pre-booked Sessions - open 15 November 2007

All teachers have the opportunity to book their students into a range of pre-booked sessions to give their students a greater insight to Australian agriculture and the Show. Each of the sessions are free and go for approximately 30 minutes. To book into these sessions, teachers should fill in their preferred session times on the booking forms, full details of which will be available in October.  Each school can be booked into a maximum of two sessions (subject to availability).  Preliminary Bookings for these sessions will be taken from the 15 November 2007.
