Show Details

The 2010 Poultry and Pigeon Show will run from Thursday 1st April 2010 until the Monday 5th April 2010.

Judging of all Poultry and Pigeon Classes will commence on Thursday 1st April 2010 at 9:00am and will be completed at around 2:00pm in the afternoon.

The opening times for the Poultry Pavilion are as follows:


Thursday 1st April 2010 2:00pm – 7:00pm
Friday 2nd April 2010 9:00am – 7:00pm
Saturday 3rd April 2010 9:00am – 7:00pm

Sunday 4th April 2010 9:00am – 7:00pm

Monday 5th April 2010 9:00am – 4:00pm

Entries for the 2010 Sydney Royal Poultry and Pigeon Show are now open.

Please visit this site to view the Competition Schedule, Judges Lists, and Closing dates for entries.

The 2010 Poultry and Pigeon Show will run from the Thursday 1st April 2010 until the Monday 5th April 2010.

Judging of all Poultry and Pigeon Classes will commence on Thursday 1st April 2010 at 9:00am and will be completed at around 2:00pm in the afternoon.

  4. Sunday 4th April 2010     9:00am – 7:00pm
  5. Monday 5th April 2010     9:00am – 4:00pm

 

Things to do and see

 

  • Show Champions. Visit our display of Show Champions on display daily throughout the Poultry and Pigeon Show.
  • The Poultry Art Show. Back in 2010 due to popular demand. A gallery of Poultry Art well worth a look.
  • YOU BE THE JUDGE. A new display designed to draw your attention to the finer points of Judging. Can you pick the best bird?
  • Egg Judging. What constitutes a good egg? Watch the Judging on Thursday 1st April 2010 from 9:00am and listen to a commentary by a qualified Official.
  • Chook Washing. Demonstrations three times daily in the Poultry Pavilion 10:00am, 12:00noon, 2:00pm.
  •  Poultry and Pigeon Clubs. Various Poultry and Pigeon Clubs will have manned stalls to answer questions and give advice on the Poultry and Pigeon fancy.
  • Poultry Auction. A Poultry Auction will be held in the Poultry Pavilion on Friday 2nd April 2010 commencing at 2:00pm. Catalogues will be available from the Office on the day of the Sale.
  • General Poultry and Pigeon Sale. This will commence at 9:00am on Friday the 2nd April 2010. This sale will run from Friday 2nd April 2010 until Sunday 4th April 2010. First in first served.
  • Commercial Displays. Visit our commercial displays containing Poultry supplies, Feed information, Literature and all you need to know about keeping Poultry and Pigeons.
  • Judging Competition. These junior Judging Competitions will be held on Sunday 4th April 2010 commencing at 9:00am.

Tuesday 30th March 2010 from 9:00am - 5:00pm

Wednesday 31st March 2010 from 9:00 – 8:00pm

NB. Exhibitors wishing to deliver Poultry Art works with other Art exhibits to the Art Section can make arrangement to have these exhibits transferred over to the Poultry Section.

Meat Bird Pairs

 

The Meat Bird pairs Competition in the School Section has been revamped into a challenging competition for schools to compete on a level playing field in the area of growing on trials of commercial meat chickens. The results of these trials will be judged at the Sydney Royal. This competition has the potential to grow into a very healthy challenge for Schools.

The Meat Bird pairs Competition will give Students an incite into modern Poultry genetics and also basic Poultry husbandry.
